PRIVACY & LOCAL PROCESSING
Privacy, explained clearly.
Airform processes posture and media information on your device. Apple services handle iCloud sync and purchases when you use them. Information reaches Ultraviolet Friend only for limited reliability reporting or when you choose to contact us.
Effective date: August 11, 2026
Local by default
Posture processing and most app data remain on your device.
Apple handles sync and purchases
iCloud syncs supported data. The App Store processes purchases and restores.
No advertising profile
Airform does not sell personal data or use posture data for advertising.
1. What Airform does
Airform uses motion data from supported AirPods and Beats to compare your head position with the reference you set during calibration. This provides posture awareness, reminders, and analytics.
Airform has no separate Airform account or login.
2. Data Airform uses
Depending on the features you use, Airform may process posture sessions and history; derived movement and posture insights; music playback context; calibration profiles, settings, trial and purchase state; and Media Alert files or recordings that you choose to create or import on Mac.
Airform also processes limited technical information for reliability reports. If you contact support or send feedback, it processes the information you choose to provide.
3. Why data is used
Airform uses data only to provide the features you choose, save your setup, sync supported data through iCloud, provide purchases and restore purchases, maintain reliability, and respond when you contact us.
Where European data-protection law applies, the usual legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in supporting and maintaining Airform, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Your device, Apple services, and Sentry
Posture processing and most app data stay on your device. If you enable iCloud, Apple syncs supported history, insights, profiles, settings, and app state between your devices. Apple also processes the information needed for App Store purchases.
Airform uses Sentry, provided by Functional Software, Inc., to receive limited reports about crashes, app hangs, unexpected terminations, and handled storage errors. These reports may include the error, event time, Airform and operating-system versions, device model and architecture, and whether the app was active. They do not include posture or motion data, music or media content, screenshots, navigation history, logs, an Airform account, or a default user identifier. Sentry service data for Airform is stored in its German EU region.
If you send feedback inside Airform, Sentry receives your message, selected topic, platform, Airform version, and send time. Feedback is voluntary and does not include your email address unless you write it in the message.
On Mac, media controls may read playback information from supported music apps and websites. Bluetooth may be used for headphone status and desk-away detection. Camera and microphone access occurs only when you choose to create a Media Alert. Airform does not send this media, music, posture, or motion information to Ultraviolet Friend.
On Mac, Airform may look in local files that TIDAL uses for cover artwork so it can show the current cover in Airform. This information stays on your device and is not saved in posture history or analytics. The optional Safari Media extension reads playback information only from supported sites you use in Safari; it does not access other websites.
Media Alerts and Studio files remain in the Airform Media Library location you choose. If you export, share, or place them in a folder synced by another service, that destination processes the files under its own terms.
5. Website and support
Airform.app and its support form are hosted by Framer. The site uses Framer’s cookie-free analytics and stores only the language choice and language-prompt state needed to remember your preference. The site requests its font files from Google Fonts.
When you use the support form, Framer and our Google Workspace email service process the details you submit so we can receive and answer your message. Do not send passwords, health information, receipts, or other sensitive information.
Service providers may process technical or support data outside the European Economic Area using safeguards required by law.
6. Purchases
Apple handles Airform purchases and restore purchases through the App Store. Airform does not receive your full payment-card information.
7. Tracking and advertising
Airform does not sell personal data, show third-party advertising, or use your data to track you across apps or websites for advertising. Sentry is used only for reliability and feedback, not for posture analytics or advertising.
8. Retention and deletion
App data is kept while needed for the features you use or until you remove it. Delete All Data removes posture history, analytics, additional profiles, and supported synced settings. Media Library files, exported files, and shared files must be deleted separately from their storage location.
Reliability reports and in-app feedback already sent to Sentry follow the project’s retention settings and are not removed by Delete All Data. Because Airform does not attach an account or default user identifier, these reports usually cannot be matched to you. Support messages are deleted when no longer needed for the conversation, investigation, records, or legal obligations.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Most Airform data is controlled directly on your device or through your Apple account. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@ultravioletfriend.com.
10. Medical disclaimer
Airform is a posture-awareness tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when Airform’s privacy practices or this policy change.
